Coalition air-murders in August 2017

In August 2017 Coalition airstrikes killed hundreds of civilians. This list includes only mass execution (more than 10 killed).

 

8/1/17 Al Bousraya neighbourhood, Raqqa city, Raqqa governorate, Syria

In a major casualty incident, between 10 and 50 civilians died, including entire families, and dozens more were wounded in an alleged Coalition airstrike in the Al Bousraya area of Raqqa.

 

8/1/17 Al Tawwassoui’ya neighborhood,
Raqqa city, Raqqa governorate, Syria
Summary: Eleven members of the same family died in an alleged Coalition airstrike on their home in Raqqa’s Al Tawwassoui.ya neighbourhood.

 

8/3/17 al Badou neighbourhood and al Thakana [Barracks] neighbourhood, Raqqa city, Raqqa governorate, Syria
Summary: Up to 20 civilians including seven children and their mother died in an alleged Coalition airstrike on the al Badou and al Takana neighbourhoods in Raqqa,

 

8/4/17 Raqqa city, Raqqa governorate, Syria
Up to 17 civilians including women and children died and 10 more were wounded in alleged Coalition airstrikes on Raqqa.

8/7/17 Raqqa City, Raqqa governorate, Syria
Eighteen civilians were reported killed and thirty injured

Twenty two civilians including 15 women reportedly died and dozens wounded in alleged Coalition airstrikes on the city of Al-Raqqa.   Named as follows:

8/8/17 Raqqa city, Raqqa governorate, Syria
14 people were killed and 35 injured after alleged US-led Coalition airstrikes on the city of Raqqa. Two children and two women were reportedly amongst those killed.

8/9-12/17 Tawasu’iya, Fardous, and Bedo neighborhoods, Raqqa city, Raqqa governorate, Syria

The death of 10 civilians and wounding of others in alleged Coalition airstrikes on Raqqa’s Tawasu’iya,  Fardous, and Bedo neighborhoods.

 

8/10/17 Raqqa city [possibly al Barji], Raqqa Governorate, Syria
47 civilians including women and children were killed and 50 injured in alleged airstrikes on the city of Raqqa.  By US-led Coalition.

8/13/17 Ferdous neighbourhood of Raqqa city, Raqqa governorate, Syria
Twelve civilians died and six more were wounded in alleged Coalition air or artillery strikes on Raqqa.

 

8/14/17 Raqqa, Raqqa governorate, Syria
Summary: Local sources said that 23 civilians were killed and 60 injured after alleged US-led Coalition strikes targeted neighbourhoods of Raqqa. Within this figure are a number of named families, including women and children.

8/15/17 Mu’taz street, Raqqa city, Raqqa governorate, Syria
Up to 30 civilians including women and children died and dozens more were wounded in an alleged Coalition airstrike on the area west of Al-Mu’taz Street in Raqqa.

8/16/17 Wahda, Nahdha and Bedu neighbourhoods and Baladi stadium area of Raqqa, Raqqa governorate, Syria Between 14 and 17 people were killed, and 30 to 74 injured in alleged Coalition airstrikes on Raqqa.

 

8/17/17 Mu’awiya school area/ Mal’ab Al-Aswad area, Raqqa city, Raqqa governorate, Syria
Summary: Thirty civilians including up to 13 children and three women from three families died and dozens more were injured in alleged Coalition airstrikes and artillery shelling on Raqqa.

8/17/17 Malahi  Raqqa, Raqqa Governorate, Syria
In a major civilian casualty incident, 20 civilians reportedly died following alleged US-led Coalition attacks on the Malahi area in Raqqa.

8/18-19/17, Raqqa City, Raqqa governorate, Syria
Up to 46 civilians dead and 60 others wounded following suspected Coalition airstrikes on Raqqa.

 

8/19/17 Al-Jazza’a village, near Shadadi, Al-Hasakah governorate, Syria

In a major civilian casualty incident, between 15 and 41 people reportedly died following an alleged US-led Coalition strike on Al-Jazza’a village. The civilians were leaving Asr prayer at the village mosque when they were hit.

8/19/17 Muroor neighbourhood, Raqqa city, Raqqa governorate, Syria
21 civilians including 12 children from four families died in an alleged Coalition airstrike on a home in the Muroor neighbourhood of Raqqa.

8/19-22/17 Tal Afar, west of Mosu, Nineveh province, Iraq

As many as 300 civilians were allegedly killed and injured in Tal Afar over three days of shelling. Information on the number of lives lost was retrieved from local medical sources, who said mostly women and children were killed and wounded.

8/20/17 Bedo neighbourhood, Raqqa, Raqqa governorate, Syria
In a major civilian casualty event, between 23 and 50 civilians were reported killed and dozens injured in the Bedo neighborhood of Raqqa

Two victims named as:
Met’eb Al-Hammoud (30 years) and Ziad Fawaz Hindawi (26 years old).

 In a major casualty incident, at least 28 and up to 60 civilians, including many women and children, died following an alleged US-led Coalition airstrikes on Al-Sakhani, Raqqa.

8/21/17 Tal Afar, West of Mosul, Nineveh province, Iraq
More than 30 civilians were killed in an “aerial bombardment” on Tal Afar, west of Mosul, Nineveh.

8/21/17 Raqqa, Raqqa Governorate, Syria
78 civilians were killed in alleged US-led Coalition and SDF artillery strikes on the city of Raqqa. It is important to note that these are general civilian casualty numbers, and could encompass other civilian casualty entries.

8/21/17 Bedo neighbourhood, Raqqa, Raqqa Governorate, Syria
In a major casualty event, between 18 and 50 civilians reportedly died and up to 56 more were wounded – many of them women and children – as a result of alleged Coalition airstrikes on Raqqa’s Bedo neighbourhood

8/20-22/17 Raqqa, Raqqa governorate, Syria: Between 50 and 118 civilians were killed, including many women and children, in the city of Raqqa. US-led Coalition airstrikes for the significant number of life lost over the short period.

 

8/22/17 Malahi (Amusement Park) Raqqa, Raqqa governorate, Syria
A major civilian casualty event in which 40 to 50 or more people, including women and children, reportedly died, and between 60 and 100 people injured, followed US-led Coalition airstrikes in conjunction with artillery shelling. The offensive targeted the Malahi (Amusement Park) district of Raqqa City and obliterated a four-storey residential building, where more than 40 civilians were said to be inside.

8/23/17 Mulla Zaid near Tal Jayer, Hasaka governorate, Syria
Twelve civilians were reported killed in an alleged US-led Coalition airstrike near the village of Mulla Zaid

 

8/23/17 Up to 16 civilians died and up to 64 were wounded in alleged Coalition air and artillery strikes in Raqqa between August 23rd and 24th

 

8/27/17 Eyathia, Tal Afar, West of  Mosul, Nineveh province, Iraq

A major civilian casualty event took place in Tal Afar, West Mosul province, following an aerial bombardment. Dozens were killed, including entire families of mostly women and Was killed 40-150 civilians (59 families including women and children alleged killed)

 

8/27/11 Central Ar Raqqa city, Raqqa governorate, Syria
Ten civilians – including up to six children and four women and two men from one family – were killed following alleged US-led Coalition airstrikes in central Raqqa City.
The strike reportedly struck or targeted a building in which the the Al-Shakran family were sheltering. The family were displaced persons from Tadmur near Palmyra.

US-led Coalition airstrikes killed  between 12 and 18 civilians, including 3 women and 11 children, near the Hadiqa Bayda (The White Garden), in Raqqa City.
